Over the next five years, the world will install windmills and other means of generating energy and produce more than three billion watts of renewable energy, according to the International Energy Agency’s annual Renewable Energy Scope Forecast report. Also, experts said that modern bioenergy will lead to the growth of all renewable energy sources.
As the number of clean energy produced continues to grow, the report says China will account for 41 percent of global growth in this type of energy use. With an increase in production of 438 gigawatts of clean energy as a result of air pollution abatement policies, China could become the largest consumer of green energy in the world, overtaking the European Union by 2023, the IEA said. In addition, Brazil is one of the largest clean energy consumers in the world, which could become a consumer of almost 45 percent of the total amount of clean energy in 2023.

While solar and wind energy consumption will continue to grow, bioenergy remains the largest renewable energy source due to its widespread use in heat and transport, in sectors where other renewable energy sources currently play a much smaller role. The United States continues to be the leader in solar energy production.

Bioenergy is energy derived from natural biological sources. Energy can be obtained from waste such as plant and animal waste, as well as animal waste. Modern farms even create special landfills with bioenergy resources that can be used as a sustainable source of energy, providing heat, gas and fuel.

Many state and local governments in the United States and around the world have already taken action to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and are focused on making their communities more resilient to live. California is aiming for 100 percent clean energy by 2045, and mayors of New York and London recently called on all cities around the world to phase out fossil fuels. As more government leaders take steps to build resilience, the IEA’s projections are becoming more and more true.
